How To Configure Qsat Q26G and Activate It’s Preloaded Accounts

This article is inspired by the fact that, some set of people(even those who are used to qsat decoders) find it difficult to configure their qsat q26g for first use. In this article I will guide you through how you can scan your channels on qsat q26g and also how you can activate your preloaded double accounts( i mean the canalsat account and the dstv avatrcam code).

Before I proceed, let give some hints about the user-interface / the two servers of q26g:
  • Qsat q26g comes with double servers(1 for dstv and the other for canalsat) that are not directly accessible to users at this time: the teo preloaded accounts that elps you to decrypt either your dst* or your canalsat channels are embedded into the “spycam” menu. Unfortunately, despite the fact that you can easily view your spycam menu under “setting>>xcam setup>>spycmam, you can’t access the accounts inside the spycam. I don’t know the way these accounts shall be renew later but i think qsat team will come out with something later. I believe qsat team block access to the account that opens dst* channels based on security reasons. They did the same on speed HD decoders where you cannot access speedcam menu.
  • If you install the two dish to fully enjoy your qsat q26g(I mean on dish for 36.0E Dstv and 22.0W canalsat) You may experience frequent display of “welcome to server” if your internet connection is bad, or qsat server is off. This message can be annoying and the only know solution is to change your sim card. If this however doesn’t work, it means one of the two preloaded account has become very unstable.
  • Qsat canalsat server has never for once performed with amazing stability for days. I mean when compared to watching dst* channels with avatarcam, watching canalsat channels with speed cam on q26g is not very satisfactory. The viewing experience is even worse than what is obtainable on speed HD decoder. When you are watching canalsat channels on q26g, you may experience frequent freezing, accompanied with welcome to server ….I believe this instability of canalsat channels on speed hd and q26 is the reason why other dongle companies like azsky have not attempted to decrypt canalsat channels yet. Meanwhile, half a loaf of bread is better than chin chin especially for French speaking African countries.
  • To view your expiry date on q26g, simply wait for the message to appear on your screen like “welcome to server.. you have **** days remaining.
  • There is no “AvatarcamHD” or “DQCAM” inside q26g. All you have is “SPycam” which house the embedded two accounts(dst* account and canalsat account)
  • You don’t need to manually activate your qsat q26g preloaded code with green button or red button as, immediately a good internet connection is detected by qsat q26g, your servers will be activated and your validity days will start counting immediately.
  • We don’t know how we are going to renew the accounts that comes with qsat q26g decoders currently since the account manager cannot  be assessed as in the previous models.

HOW TO CONFIGURE / ACTIVATE / SETUP QSAT Q26G FOR FIRST USE

The first thing you will have to do is to load a software that will restore xcam setup to your qsat q26g if the xcam setup is missing on it. I mean your qsat q26g must have the xcam setup as shown in the picture below:
After upgrading your decoder, the next thing is for you to scan your channels as explained below:
How to rescan channels on my qsat decoder:to rescan your channels, goto installation>>password is 0000>>Antenna Setting>>Change Satellite to Eutelsat 36A, 36/ 036.0E>>press blue button on your remote to start scanning>>another window will pop up change scan type from manual to Blind scan>>press enter and wait till everything completes.  To can your canalsat channels, you will need additional dish that will be installed and it will face 22.0w. I will advice you to call your local satellite installer to help you track canalsat channels on 22.0W. You can learn more about canalsat nss7 here and here
The next step is for you To setup your preferred internet protocol. you can do this by choosing either gprs(also know as direct sim card insertion), lan internet, wifi connection or 3g network. You can setup the appropriate internet connection on any decoder by reading my guide here.
Once you have performed the steps above, restart your qsat q26g decoder, and all other things being equal, as long as you have received the “welcome to server message on your tv screen” your channels will start opening. The only way your channels will not open after you have followed te instructions above is if qsat server is generally down. However, as at the time of publishing this article, qsat is online

On Thursday the seventh of January, 2015. The owners of Sony powervu satellite package did a hard upgrade that forced all decoders opening sony packages manually or automatically to stopped. That same day, a new powervu came out for sony package but it worked only on strong 4922a with software 190p.
